The empty house reeks of sweat and forgotten programs line the floor. One of them is open, another is folded into an elaborate crane sometime between the first act and now.
The lights are still dimmed, as if intermission had just ended and the ghosts are filing back into their seats. From the stage, painted tan and speckled with green, you can just make out the grandiose tower that had once been the centerpiece of the show.
